Three of our projects were recipients of an NZIA Wellington Architecture Award last night. The event was held at the recently strengthened St James Theatre.8 Willis Street received two awards – in the Heritage category for the strengthening and refurbishment of the three corner buildings including Stewart Dawsons; and in the Commercial category. We wish to thank and acknowledge all those involved including the owner Argosy Property, contractor McKee Fehl, engineers Beca, and heritage architect Ian Bowman.
Wesley Church received a Heritage award. Thanks to Carol Dale from the church, heritage architect Paul Cummack, engineers Beca, QS Robertson Surveying, project managers Cequent, and the contractor LT McGuiness.
We also received an award for the new studio at Glenmorven Road. This new work added to an original cabin that we received many awards for twenty-three years ago. Thanks to Ray and Stefania, and the builder Sam Edridge.
