Located in the old DIC department store, this contemporary corporate office both complements its heritage context and supports the flat management structure of the organisation. All management (including the CEO) and staff are located in an open-plan environment and they have access to quiet rooms and project rooms when required.

We were asked to provide space for up to 90 staff in an open plan space with no seniority distinction. This allows unrestricted visual communication and relies on the strong classical volume and detail of the original building and the robust structural steel bracing for its character. Thorough detailing of glass, unfinished woven plywood and corrugated steel elements has produced a refined elegant and sophisticated result.
